'Nip/Tuck' finale: 'Modern Family's' Eric Stonestreet guests "Modern Family" is airing a rerun Wednesday night, but an hour later you can catch the show's Eric Stonestreet in an original performance. Just don't expect a lot of laughs. Stonestreet, who plays Cameron on the ABC show, is guest-starring in the season finale of "Nip/Tuck." He'll be playing a death-row inmate who's too obese to execute, so prison officials pressure Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) into giving him liposuction in exchange for possibly letting Matt (John Hensley) go free.
So, you know, just another day at McNamara/Troy. I confess I've fallen off the "Nip/Tuck" bandwagon, but the brief glimpses of Stonestreet in the preview below has piqued my interest a little bit. If for no other reason than to see Stonestreet play a character who's vastly different, it might be worth a little DVR space. "Nip/Tuck" ends its sixth season tonight and will begin its seventh and final season in just three weeks, on Jan. 6. Source.
There's a promo for the episode at the source, though Stonestreet only appears for a few seconds in it. |

Promo pictures for the January 11th episode of Castle
Remember earlier in the week when Ausiello leaked a CASTLE first look featuring a very steamy make-out scene between Alyssa Milano and Nathan Fillion? Well it turns out there’s a little more to the story than meets the eye. Make that lot more! Turns out, Milano plays Kyra, also known as “the one that got away.” And when Castle and Beckett are called to a wedding to investigate the death of a bridesmaid on the January 11 episode of CASTLE, it’s bride-to-be Kyra, caught off-guard by Castle’s reappearance in her life, who must investigate if she’s marrying the right guy.

Did Tobey Maguire Buy His Golden Globe Nomination for Brothers? One of the biggest jaw-droppers that came out of yesterday's Golden Globe nominations was Tobey Maguire's surprise nod in the Best Actor category for his work in Brothers. It's not as if his performance in the film has gone entirely unnoticed — New York's own David Edelstein wrote that his work "manages to suggest something of Robert De Niro when he was young and thin and wired" — but more that his name hasn't really been bandied about in any of the Best Actor conversations up to this point. So then, how exactly did Maguire suddenly spring himself into the race? Well, someone who had an axe to grind with Tobey e-mailed Nikki Finke yesterday and suggested that Leo DiCaprio giving Blu-ray players to some 40 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association may have had something to do with it. Before running with the story, Vulture buddy Finke put in some calls of her own as a means of getting to the bottom of this potentially scandalous story. Her reporting suggests that while DiCaprio did indeed throw a party in honor of his old friend Maguire, only fifteen members of the HFPA were in attendance, not forty. Also, while these fifteen members of the press did initially take a Blu-ray player as part of the swag bag that DiCaprio gave out at the end of the evening, someone ratted them out, and they were all forced to return the bribes gifts. So, scandal averted ... for now. SOURCEPersonally, I think his father-in--law being the President/CEO of Universal Studios might have more to do with him getting the nomination. |

RUH ROH You know, I'm pretty used to dealing with takedown notices, copyright infringement claims and cease and desist letters when it comes to ONTD, but I've never dealt with a demand for retraction. You all might remember this post, where Demi Moore's cover was pretty much declared as being fake and photoshopped. I'm just here to pass along the message from Demi's pissed off camp that...it's not true, ok!? I would love to show you all the lovely legal notice, complete with lulztastic quotes where we're urged to govern ourselves accordingly after acting at our own peril, but I can't! It even has memos from Dennis Freedman, Creative Director of W Magazine and the photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott backing up the claim that " there was ABSOLUTELY no retouching on her hips or waists or legs!!"
Needless to say, I think we all owe Demi Moore a great big ONTD apology, so I want everyone to comment here and say you're sorry!! |

Tom Morello donates the RATM#1 money to charity Tom Morello to donate Rage Against The Machine Vs 'X Factor' Christmas Number One money to charity Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello is set to donate his earnings from the 'Killing In The Name'/X Factor Christmas Number One race to charity.A fan-orchestrated campaign is urging people to download the 1992 track this week so it can stop the TV show winner Joe McElderry from reaching the top of the charts and so prevent Simon Cowell's series from claiming its fifth consecutive Christmas Number One. According to the campaign organisers, Rage Against The Machine's guitarist has pledged proceeds from the track to a UK charity. "Tom Morello of RATM has said he will donate earnings to Youth Music, a scheme helping young musicians in the UK," they posted on Twitter.com/RATM4Xmas. The campaign itself is raising money for homeless charity Shelter. They also urged fans to keep downloading the song as McElderry's track, 'The Climb' gets its physical release today (December 16). "Destroying the opposition on iTunes," they declared. "'The Climb' is in shops today so keep buying RATM!" Yesterday, Morello himself backed the campaign via Twitter, urging fans to buy 'Killing In The Name'. For more on The X Factor and its effect on British music, get this week's issue of NME – on UK newsstands now – for an exclusive interview with Simon Cowell. SOURCEthoughts? i thought the whole campaign wasn't very 'fuck you i wont do what you told me'-esque but the charity thing makes it ok for me tbh! |
